Very happy with this tiny box.
I have wanted to get out of subscription TV for a long time so at last I took the plunge and ordered this reconditioned Freesat box. I was amazed at how small it is. The installation was easy for a non-tech person and the picture quality is better than before. Simple and small.
I do not like set top boxes generally, however this one is small, unobtrusive and easy to set up. In addition, the cables were all supplied including batteries so I had everything i needed and no trips out to get the correct aerial fitting. I would have given it 5 stars but have noticed that you need to be almost directly in front of the box for it to respond to commands from the remote. Freesat HD Box
Very easy to set up and use. On screen programme guide is very clear and well designed. Very compact little device. Would have given this product 5 stars, but just one problem stopped me. Unfortunately the IR code transmitted by the handset when pressing the directional down arrow button is coincidentally the same code that switches my tv's smart speakers on/off! Freesat Box - Review .
My Original Freesat box failed due to Water ingress in the LNB on the Dish , It was an older Type Scart connection one , this New one uses HDMI connection , But can also feed Scart if required to as the parts are included in the box.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Neat, compact and working perfectly without the expense of the usual receiver/recording boxes

Manhattan SX Freesat TV box
After struggling for over a year to make sense of the channel lists on my previous Freesat receiver and being unable to get them into any sensible order I finally gave up with it and I’m now so glad that I chose this Manhattan SX as a replacement. Within 5 minutes of connecting the sat dish cable and powering up, it had downloaded all the Freesat channels (200+) and put them into a easy to use order making it really easy to go to whatever channel of your choice. Small FreeSat box Good : Easy to use, Great program guide, has own volume control. Bad : Can not add Extra channels that are not in the FREESAT list,to your favourites list. MANHATTAN-SX-Freesat-HD-Set-Top-Box
Old Humax box gave up the ghost , so looked around for another unit . Read a few reviews and the Manhattan had excellent reviews . So decided to purchase . Unit is very small and compact ( unlike the humax it replaced) So easy to set up also can delete the channels that you do not want . I will replace my other unit ( although it records, its a waste of time as everything is repeated anyways ) . It can be connected via ethernet or wifi , Hdmi output ,analogue AV output , all cables apart from ethernet are included . Remote is small and functional , works very well . Easy to set up
Our first one (original free sat box) stopped working so got this new one. I was amazed just how small it was. It's half of the original box. Setting up was also much easier than the original one. It requires only a few steps to set up with clear instruction and it's all ready to go. The quality of HD is amazing. We don't watch huge selections of channels so this does the job perfectly. As they say" Good things come in small packages"
This was to replace a Humax Freesat box, which I found to be slow and clunky in its use. And in fact was so impressed I bought two of them. One for the front room and one in the kitchen. The box is the same size more or less as our Now tv boxes we have. Although one reviewer stated you have to be in the line of sight for the remote to work. I found that not to be true, as long as you point it roughly in its direction it works fine. Set up is very easy, with an easy-to-navigate tv guide. Or like myself save my favorite channels and scroll through them easily. Unlike the Humax box. The only grip is unlike my Nowtv box or PS3/PS4 etc, It will not turn the tv on automatically at the same time. But on the plus side, I have it connected to a 3 in-1 out HDMI splitter box and works faultlessly. This in turn is connected to a Yamaha surround amp, which has a pass-through function. Which enables to use it with the amp or bye-pass to use with a soundbar. Picture quality and sound are spot on. Plus the remote is easy to use and navigate. And being in matt finish, not a fingerprint magnet. If like me you found yourself hardly needing to record anything, then this little box is ideal.
