Excerpt from Reminiscences of Newberry: Embracing Important Occurrences, Brief Biographies, of Prominent Citizens and Historical Sketches of Churches: To Which Is Appended, an Historical Account of Newberry College In the following pages it is attempted to give some account of the principal persons who have resided in the town of Newberry, South Carolina, and of the prominent occurrences in that town during the past half century, as thee persons and occurrences are known to the author. His design has not been to write a history of that town, or of the surrounding section, but to present to the public, and especially to those who are acquainted or connected with the individuals and events and institutions described, the author's knowledge of these persons and things. He has no religious, social or political theory to advocate, no personal interest to advance; he simply records his own reminiscences and his own experiences, and leaves the reader to draw his own conclusions. The reach of such a work is, as I have more than once suggested to my friend, far beyond his purpose in writing these sketches, and far beyond what he is willing to claim for them.     Fast shipping, as described. Good price for a paperback. I only suggest that books be wrapped either in paper or bubble wrap when shipped in a mailing envelope. The shipping causes rubbing on cover and although the envelope was torn in shipment the book was intact.

    Got the FLINTSTONES complete series box set from seller J AND G DISTRIBUTING and got it at a great price. The listing said quality was good and the 20 DVDs all came in good playing condition. Appearance of the outside of case was close to new looking. It showed up days earlier than listed and well wrapped up. Got a great series for a great price, delivered early, in good shape. Total win for me, from a good seller.
