    I have purchased from this seller on multiple occasions without incident, this time the USPS sorting machine decided it wanted to eat my package. After several weeks I received a bag containing remnants of what was supposed to be my order. I contacted the seller and explained that it wasn't his fault what happened but without hesitation Larry processed my original order and shipped out a replacement within 3 days. I will continue to use this seller for all my future purchases.

    Item showed up blazing fast, was packaged securely and exactly as described brand new in original packaging. I couldn’t be happier with the purchase, the value of having all the different viscosity’s plus the tips, activator and remover all in one solid hard case is indispensable and definitely cheaper than buying them all separately for sure.     Articulate and well balanced tone.

    The tone is very clear and well balanced, so it gives an articulate sound that is never harsh. Not exactly the same as true single coil because its smoother and is warmer, maybe due to Alnico 2 magnets and the hum-cancelling design. I used a mixture of 250k volume control and 500k tone controls to get the tone I wanted. Previously when I used the Standard Area 58 (Staggered poles), I found the low strings are too strong, so it causes too warm string-balance that sounds muddy to me. The "Special Order" version with Flat Non-staggered pole pieces is a great solution. Visually a small difference, but it turned out to be a worthwhile improvement for me. In this case the guitar has 12" fretboard radius and the pickup was used in the neck position.

    Great sounding pickup

    Bought it for middle position on my maple neck, alder body strat. It sounded great. It has a mid scoop feel to it which compliment a maple neck strat.

    A happy medium! Not overly bright or muddy. It is just right where you want it to be!

    The 58s give off a clear yet warm bubbly tone as you would expect from a classic vintage single coil. Better yet, it does it without the hum which is great for recording. Sounds great with distortion as well. Definitely a keeper on an alder body and roasted maple neck guitar.

    Area 58

    I put this pickup in the neck position of my Godin Progressive- sounds like a good Strat now except it's dead quiet.

    Love it

    I love the Dimarzio Area 58. The other Area models are good, but this one is by far my favorite. They sound so good.
