A Classic!
They don't write rich, deep character studies like this anymore. James Dean is at his all time best in this film, as well. This film is one of my favorite stories. Wholesome, loving, complex, playful... a story you'll enjoy for decades. (I don't want to give too much of the story away.) The ending is such a surprise. Steinbeck, Kazan, and Dean
One of the best film adaptations of all time of what is one of the most beloved novels of all time. This is Hollywood at its best. EAST OF EDEN
East of Eden was a very engaging film. Even though it was made in 1954 the story written by John Steinbeck is still fascinating and entertaining. Classic film at its best
One of the best dramas of all time, with the added bonus of having James Dean staring in the lead. The soundtrack is beyond great and the story line by Steinbeck is classic. The characters are unforgettable and it has a surprising ending. The Blu-Ray DVD copy made it all come to life on the screen. Buy this DVD, don't wait.
