Ok overall, needed more research by the author.
On page 2 the author dedicated the book to his family that supported him for 34 years watching PT-109 over and over and buying every PT boat book in existence, insinuating he was well versed in everything PT boat related, then on page 27 this self proclaimed expert states that John Kennedy was awarded the Medal of Honor. The book has excellent photographs and some good text. Gave it a low rating due to the JFK comment.

Great little paperback packed with details.
A must have reference book for the historian or model boat builder with an interest in PT Boats of the US Navy. Very interesting original photos and artist renderings depict details often heard about but nice to actually see. Explores differences between ELCO, HIGGINS and other suppliers to US Navy during WWII.

a great book on PT boats
I enjoyed this book on the PT boats of WWII it is well written and researched in the history of the PT boats not only in the pacific area of combat but also in the atlantic area as well.I highly recommend this book if you are planning to build a model of these great war boats and their crews.
