    Best Nikon Landscape Prime Lens!

    I bought this lens to replace the Nikon 16-35mm f4 VR zoom. This lens is much smaller and lighter which makes it ideal for travel and landscape shots. It's also a full two stops brighter than the zoom so I don't find myself missing the VR. While it doesn't go as wide, it's got much less distortion so I prefer the image quality. It takes 77mm screw in filters which is a major factor why I chose this over the Sigma Art 20mm 1.4. Overall couldn't be more satisfied with a wide angle prime!

    Incredible value!

    Not only is this glass super sharp (especially when stepped down 2 stops, peak sharpness at F5.6), it also produces some incredible sunstars! This has got to be one of my lightest glass I have. Primes are just my favorite. I combine this with the Nikon 14-24 F/2.8, Rokinon 14mm F2.8, Sigma 35mm F/1.4 Art, Nikon 50mm F/1.4G, and Nikon 85mm F/1.8G for the ultimate setup for landscape. I also highly recommend it to anyone who does not want to spend a huge amount on a nice light traveling prime lens that takes filters and is incredibly sharp.

    Best wide angle lens. lens is wide but not too wide. With the 1.8 aperture, it can be used inside.

    One of the Best

    Nikon lovers know the value of superb glass, and this lens doesn’t disappoint. I bought it to add an extra punch to my arsenal, supplementing a walkaround, standard zoom and two other primes. Read the reviews on the sharpness, clarity, and ultra low light capability of this lens and made the investment. Glad I did! It’s in the bag especially for architecture, landscapes, and wide, low light shots. A very good choice.
