Excellent lens for Sony A7 R4
Bought this for a safari holiday. Delivered in good time and in brand new condition. Haven't taken on the holiday yet but used to take some shots of the local wild life. they show excellent image quality with excellent sharpness. The lens is rather on heavy side and looks bit out of proportion on Sony A7 R4 camera body. But it is a price paying for the image quality. Very pleased and satisfied with the purchase. Good lens if you need some reach, and it is sharp. Not good for lowlight conditions though, and it is all but cheap.
Good balance between focal range and size. Images are sharp. AF is very fast on A7Riii. Of course, it is meant to be used in daylight, and even then you might need to run at higher ISO than you want to. For non moving subjects the image stabilizer works really well. You can shoot at 400 mm with 1/100s shutter with no motion blur. The lens is good, but a fair bit over priced. I bought it anyway, because I had no chance to compare it with Sigma and Tamron adapted lenses. I would probably bought one of those if I knew they would work decently enough.Good balance between focal range and size. Images are sharp. AF is very fast on A7Riii. I have only had the lens for a couple of days so not fully tested , but so far the performance has exceeded my expectations. I am using it with a Sony A7r111, it was brought for wildlife. the lens works well with the camera. I was torn between this and the new 200 - 600 lens but decided to go with this and I am looking forward to using it a lot in the future. I accept that the costs are high - but what you can get from this lens brings a joy to you when you look at the results well worth itI have only had the lens for a couple of days so not fully tested , but so far the performance has exceeded my expectations.
