You can create your own network via the Google home app and simply plug an play after that. You will need to connect it to your ISP's router but after that it's smooth sailing. This one was bought as a gift for friends and arrived in excellent condition and exactly as described. Compared to the newer Nest devices, this one is excellent value for money. Overall, I am very pleased.
