Great Printer. Good Toner Levels. 100% linux compatible(with some tweaking). windows 10 easy install.
PURCHASE ---------------- Very happy with purchase. Like new. Toner levels great. ADF works wonderfully with this printer, no jams, pretty straight scans, though not completely straight. Duplex printing is a very nice feature. It prints on one side then takes the page back in automatically and prints to the other side. Print resolution could be a little better, but I'm happy with it. If you want some good paper to print photos on I recommend the hp glossy brochure 200g paper. It is glossy enough for me and is thick enough for me as well. Just put it through the manual feed (tray 1) and select the right paper on the printer. hp-eprint is interesting. You send jpg, pdf etc.. to an email address and the printer prints the attachment(s). just fyi, there is no explicit way to set the print resolution afaik. SETUP ----------- Windows 10 setup is very easy. just insert the disk and run setup.exe while connected through usb. I had to do this to upgrade the firmware. I don't think I had to upgrade the firmware, I think it was a router problem. But it wouldn't update the firmware over wireless so I did it on usb on my windows install. I use opensuse Leap 15.0 Linux and it was easy to setup usb once I downloaded the newest hplip from hp site, run the .run file and ran hp-setup. To get xsane to recognize the scanner....MAKE SURE you take the piece of paper off the scanner flatbed that is preventing it from closing and restart the printer. Also, run sudo hp-plugin A restart of the computer after all this is always a good idea. To get wireless working...MAKE SURE you are connected to a router that has good- excellent signal strength. Also, hit the wireless button on the home screen and select the middle button "WIFI ON" to see what your ip is. Put this ip into a web browser and you will have lots of options to configure your printer. There were some other things to try as well sudo zypper install apparmor-utils Run sudo aa-disable /usr/share/hplip/plugin.py Run as normal user, not as root (yes again) hp-plugin Anyway, I may have left off some steps, but google is your friend. Perfect Size, Perfect Fit & Perfect Price
This HP laser jet printer fits perfectly where an inkjet printer once was located. That was very important since space was premium. It prints black/white and color pages to my satisfaction. The control panel is easy to use with touch and scroll methods of your fingertip. It sets up wirelessly without a hitch and is easily portable. Excellent value but slow
Arrived earlier than expected in perfect condition. Very easy setup under Windows 10 after downloading the basic driver, a little more difficult in Linux. My only complaint is printing is slow. Not a problem for me in a small office with limited printing needs but definitely too slow for a busy office. Great printer, fax and scan

Great printer at the right price
If I didn't know better, I would swear that this printer was brand new. Comes with everything that you would expect it to have in the box. Great duplex printer, with outstanding copying and scanning
OMG, this little darlin' is a workhorse! I got it just a month or so before the COVID lockdown and it has been a champ! I just love it. It scans very well and with autofeed. The printing is excellent and the copying has saved me on a number of occasions. I wouldn't hesitate if you need a workhorse printer for work or for school work.
