    Must read list

    An update on the jarring history of racism in this country when a young black girl was subjected to the vile racism of adults during the integration of schools in Little Rock, Arkansas. The story is told from the perspective of the adult, Melba Patillo Beals, who went on to earn a graduate degree from ColumbiaUniversity. This book has been banned in some states, as has the story of Ruby Bridges, the child who braved such vile display of racist humanity as she walked to school each day. A must read for all American patriots who want to make sure that we as a nation never go back to those days again.
