Crosman Nose Dive
I have been shooting Crosman pellet guns since I was a kid back in the late 60's, and the Crosman 760 Pumpmaster (back then) was almost indestructible, but like ALL American companies these days, the few that still exist, quality means NOTHING to Crosman, it's all about the profit!
Yes, the Crosamn is affordable, but between cheap components and shoddy workmanship, the gun won't perform well unless you invest more money in expensive upgrades, upgrades that should have been stock parts on the gun in the first place. The there is the time involved dismantling the gun to perform finish-work that should have been done at the factory. Specific finish-work like filing down the edges of the pressure tube so they don't completely scratch and scar the pump linkage of the gun, Or loosening all the screws so you can shift the components around and line-up the barrel properly.
If you can afford a little extra money up front, I would suggest trying a different brand of pellet gut!
