A top-notch flick.
I have had a netflix account now for almost 16 years now, I have seen a whole lot of movies. So I know when I see a good movie and The Edge of Seventeen 2017. Is a good movie that I enjoyed watching very much. It has intelligent funny characters, it is very fun movie. Delivers a Familiar Feeling
While Hailee Steinfeld's (Nadine) acting seemed a little too "spastic", the film successfully conveyed the very familiar feeling of being a teenager; you know - thinking you know everything while completely oblivious to the fact that you don't. Trying to survive those years where you're figuring out who you are, what you want and how life really works. It's true what they say: Youth is wasted on the young. One of the Best Coming of Age Stories in the Past Decade
I thoroughly enjoyed this film! This was a funny, smartly written, and heartwarming coming-of-age story! This film takes me back to when I was young, awkward, and doing those knee-jerk reactions based on emotions. Hailee Steinfeld was cast perfectly and was extremely engaging from beginning to end. Heartfelt, funny, and a look at the other side of high school.
