Typical poor quality
Junk turbo but it works. Excessive shaft play right out of the box and even after flowing oil through it on vehicle. The internal wastegate port is too small for this turbo. Hits 10psi with no actuator (all back pressure). I removed the turbo and ported out the wastegate hole to be the size of the flap. Now it works as it should without any issues. Well manufactured for the price.
Hopefully I’m not doing this review to soon I only just did my set up yesterday I did notice some oil smoke in the exhaust when I first ran it. I’m assuming it’s just internal oil residue from assembly and not a seal. I will be running it again today and hopefully all has cleared up. The turbo is well-made if I have no oil seal problems I would recommend this turbo for anyone doing a custom turbo install on engines under 2.5 L. I did change the wastegate to an adjustable waste actuator to run 4 pounds of boost. I think it’s the perfect size for a little more horsepower but reliability.Hopefully I’m not doing this review to soon I only just did my set up yesterday I did notice some oil smoke in the exhaust when I first ran it. Great turbo for the price
Couldn't argue with price for quality. It's not as bad as people say. Have had good luck with mine on 8psi
