Rawlow B - R.I.P.
Rawlow B was a popular local rapper from Nashville, Tennessee who released 5 LPs under
his own name during his all to brief recording career, 1995 - 2001
He also released 3 LPs under the names: Organized Crime, Mafioso Click + Mafioso's,
in addition to countless appearances on LPs released by other Nashville + Memphis artists
He died in 2001 though exact details are not known. He associated with area artists like:
Quinn Cash, Playa G, Al Kapone, Taylor Boys, Kingpin Shinny Pimp, Kool Daddy Fresh,
Black + Jay was close to Low Key and Haystak and is referenced by Haystak,
in some of his songs.
Rawlow B has developed a cult like following since his death with his CDs being highly
sought after collector's items, some all but impossible to obtain.
Often over looked, Rawlow B's influence on Southern G-Funk shouldn't be underestimated.
Raw Street Funk, not much production and very simple bare-bones beats.
The lyrics and delivery however, are uncompromising hard ghetto ganxsta funk, unforgettable.
The quality and volume of material released in less than 5 years is staggering.
