1177A brings an all-metal cabinet for improved appearance. This is more than an 1177 in a metal box -
the all-new design also offers new circuit board architecture for superior performance.
This high-performance Switcher can expand the digital audio capacity of any audio system. It automatically
selects the active audio input and it can convert optical and coaxial signals automatically and transparently
so you can connect any combination of optical TOSLink and coaxial digital audio sources.
The switcher outputs both optical and coaxial signals simultaneously, converting seamlessly between
the two formats. For example, you can have a satellite receiver connected to input one via TOSLink optical
cable and a DVD player connected to input two via coaxial cable. No matter which input is active, the
switcher will always output both optical and coaxial formats from that source. Supports all Dolby Digital,
DTS, and PCM formats.
Like most Audio Authority products, the Model 1177A comes with a one year limited warranty from the
manufacturer.

Overview

The front panel has multi-color LEDs to indicate "auto" mode and input selection status, as well as a
push-button switch for manual source selection.
This picture shows the back panel. If you zoom in, you can see four optical TOSLink digital audio
inputs at the upper right, with a corresponding coaxial digital input below each optical input. The
output connectors are on the left side. The power input connector is located between the input and the
output connectors.
Shown here is the product box and the included contents. Starting at the upper right, moving in a
clockwise direction, you can see the box, an installation instruction sheet, some adhesive labels, a
universal power supply, and the 1177A unit itself.
Here is a closer look at the included universal power supply. As you can see, this will work with just
about any power system. The plug itself is intended for the USA, so if you are in a different country,
you will need a passive adapter.

USA Customers
Our standard shipping method for this item is USPS Priority Mail, an air service that provides one to three day delivery to USA addresses. This service includes Delivery Confirmation and basic tracking information.
If you need faster delivery and better tracking, we also offer Express Mail, which provides overnight delivery to most (but not all) USA addresses.
For items weighing less than 13 ounces and valued at under $200, we also offer First Class Mail. Transit times for this economy service are typically a day slower than Priority Mail and no tracking information at all is included.
For items weighing more than 13 ounces, we offer FedEx Ground. Please click here for transit time to your area. This service offers the lowest cost for heavier items and includes full tracking information.

International Customers
Our preferred international shipping method is Express Mail International (EMS).
For items under $300 in value, we also offer Priority Mail International. Cost is somewhat lower, but you need to be aware that this service provides only minimal tracking information.
We insure all international shipments, but you should be aware that the insurance company requires a 45 to 60-day waiting period before a claim can be filed and tracking information can be comforting when packages do not arrive within the expected timeframe.

Keep in mind that these transit time estimates are from the US Postal Service. Circumstances in your country, such as delays at your local customs office, can affect the total transit time to your address.
International customers should be prepared to pay import taxes and/or duties at the time of delivery. In NAFTA member countries, customs duties should be discounted for products that are made in the USA, but taxes may still be collected. Please be advised that we declare actual contents, value and country of origin for customs and insurance purposes. No exceptions please.
Warranty
Manufacturer's Warranty Statement
Should any consumer product manufactured by Audio Authority fail due to defects in materials or workmanship within
one year from the date of the original sale to the end-user, Audio Authority guarantees that we will replace the defective
product at no cost. Freight charges for the replacement unit will be paid by Audio Authority (Ground service only). A
copy of the invoice from an Authorized Reseller showing the item number and date of purchase (proof-of-purchase) must
be submitted with the defective unit to constitute a valid in-warranty claim.
Units that fail after the warranty period has expired may be returned to the factory for repair at a nominal charge,
if not damaged beyond the point of repair. All freight charges for out-of-warranty returns for repair are the responsibility
of the customer. Units returned for repair must have a Return Authorization Number assigned by the factory.
This is a limited warranty and is not applicable for products which, in our opinion, have been damaged (including
lightning, water, fire, etc.), altered, abused, misused, or improperly installed. Audio Authority makes no other warranties
either expressed or implied, including limitation warranties as to merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Additionally, there are no allowances or credits available for service work or installation performed in the field by
the end user.

Audio Authority typically does a very fine job of handling warranty issues, but if you prefer to deal with Cable
Solutions, we will be pleased to handle the matter for you.
International Customers
Please notice that most of our electronic equipment carries a USA warranty, so all international warranty issues
must be handled by Cable Solutions. This means that you must return the item to Cable Solutions for all warranty
repair or replacement issues. You will be responsible for all shipping/handling expenses.

Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) is required for all returns handled by Cable Solutions.

Defective Merchandise
Defective merchandise will be repaired or replaced as described above.
Non-defective Merchandise

Shipping/handling fees are not refundable and you will be responsible for all shipping/handling expenses related to
the return. In the case of items with "free shipping", customary shipping/handling fees will be added to your restocking

In order to qualify for the rates shown above, we must receive your return within the first 14 days following the
day you receive your order. In cases where the item is returned incomplete, or in less than perfect condition,
we will evaluate the restocking fees on a case by case basis.
