I did get a life!
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I started reading a slew of biographies and autobiographies last year of people who are or were in the entertainment industry. Of all the books I read, this was simply the most entertaining read of all. From the tales of the beginnings of Star Trek and Gene Roddenberry's life to William Shatner's personal experiences and ideas and all the other detours along the way, this book simply pulls you in. Every time I pick this book up to show someone or to quote a story I find myself wanting to read it through again. This book, while brilliantly written, does have one flaw: it is too short. I was certainly hungry for more. Shatner is a great storyteller.
I will admit that when I first read this book it was a public library copy that I borrowed. However, I immediately began searching for it online and purchased my present copy through Ebay. I was able to get a first edition copy in perfect condition! It arrived in plenty of time for me to have it autographed in person by the author himself, William Shatner on the 40th anniversary of Star Trek! :)
