2000 Honda Shadow Spirit Right Freeway Bar Installation Difficulty
Recommendation, value and quality evaluations are as selected.
Installation difficulty was encountered that required considerable time to accomplish.
The freeway bar for the left side of the 2000 Honda Shadow Spirit installed without any particular difficulty.
The right side freeway bar was particularly troublesome as the alignment of the bar's mounting plates didn't align with their corresponding mounting attachment points on the motorcycle.
Was able to begin the installation of the right freeway bar by having to get each of the bar's mounting bolts started into the bike's mating mounting holes, such that each of the bolts nuts were just gripping the first few threads.
That way by alternately tightening the bolts, the bar's mounting plates were forced to align into position with the bike's mounting attach points.
Had the right freeway bar's mounting plates been in alignment with the bike's mating attach points and the bar positioned in place such that the bar's and bikes mounting holes align perfectly, the bolt's nuts would have installed easily and the nuts finger tightened.
None of the difficulty encountered in this installation would have been experienced.
The installation problem (in estimation of the installer) caused by the bar's manufactured bend shape not being correct.
Could also be partly attributable to the bar's mounting plates not being positioned correctly when welded to the bar.
Or a combination of the two.
Also was considered that the bike's lower freeway bar (single bolt) attach point was misaligned during its manufacture or maybe misaligned (bent out of place) due to subsequent road accident damage.
No visible bike damage observed but this bike's right lower bar attach point not very substantial in terms of material strength.
So it could be a combination of all these factors that led to poor alignment and the difficulty encountered installing the right freeway bar.
Bar was finally successfully installed.
The only concern being the stress put on the bike's right freeway bar attach point due to having to pull the bar into place as described above.

Hydro Fan Replacement
Hydro fan for cooling Craftsman garden tractor mower auto-drive transmission was easy to replace.
