Excellent Emmylou

I have owned this album on vinyl for quite some time. As a long time fan of this artist, it is probably unfair to try to be objective. Her range of vocal skills and the delicacy of delivery is unique. Her voice simply grows on you and I can say that I never tire of listening to her songs.

Emmylou Harris - All I Intended To Be

My, my, she sure can sing. Emmylou Harris is one class act. Having now bought as many of her albums as I have been able to during the last 30 or more years, I never tire of listening to her truly melodic voice. This appears to be her latest release and it gets even better(2008). The album contains a wonderful blend of voice plus acoustic and electric guitar work, often tied to the themes of pain and loss that frequently follows in place of romantic love – these are very strong human emotions. Emmylou has advised in the past that her album material is chosen carefully for its personal appeal and significance. Therefore, we members of her audience are rewarded when we listen carefully. Emmylou's easy and comforting voice can work magic.
