Rigid plastic
Have only had for a couple of weeks but does the job. The screen protector, as others have mentioned, has a slight discolor once it comes in contact with the screen of the phone but does not affect performance. Releasing the phone from the holster is tricky as it's held in very tightly by one clip. I suspect it will eventually break if pulled too hard. Overall, it works well and worth buying.

Many features with nice display
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich Three days after setting it up, the outside temp began changing erratically every time it would refresh. Immediately I thought the outdoor sensor was defective and considered returning the station. After doing a complete reset as found online in the FAQ's (not in the manual as it should be), it has been working fine for two weeks now. The predictive forecaster requires a 7-10 day "learning" period to evaluate the barometric pressure and it seems fairly accurate although my previous Oregon Scientific did a better job for that. If you're not interested in a model that detects wind and rain, this one is adequate for most!

Works okay
Before purchasing this, my temperature sensor has been mounted under an eave but was affected by morning sunlight heating up the surrounding area. I decided to order this item and so far, has been working well. Since it protects the sensor from direct rain, I moved it on the north wall of the house (as recommended). I can now send data to Weather Underground with accurate readings and able to pass their QC. With spring approaching soon, the sun is now setting at a slightly different angle which does shine briefly on the shield just before sunset causing a spike in the temp. My plans are to add something to side to block the direct sun. This may change come summer as it is mounted to brick and could cause a heating problem. Other than being a bit pricey for a simple plastic item, it arrived fast and had all the mounting hardware so I'm pleased.
