Appropriate.
Excellent film. Filmed on location. No computers in 1914! Those were real elephants in the snow with Hannibal. Costumes great. Acting excellent. One felt the pain and betrayal of the bandit knight and Fulvius and his slave Machiste were perfect.

Fitting.
If you love aviation, you will love this film. The War had only been over for 12 years when this came out. I imagine the final major dog fight scene were all WWI pilots and at least two dozen aircraft were involved. Real planes. Real men. No computers in 1930.The film is worth watching just for the aircraft! And I cannot think of any Director who could know aircraft better!!
