The Edition Is Too Old
I gave this book away as a gift to a Reading Partner site director without reading certification. I wanted her to be able to see how useful Words Their Way series is. My edition is considerably newer, and I love it! I thought I would receive that. I was a little embarrassed to give her something so dated (copyright in the 1990s.)
The young woman was not impressed, though she loved seeing my copy of Words Their Way: Word Sorts for Within Word Pattern Spellers and thought that would be very useful.
I liked the fact that the CD in the back of the book was unopened and hope that it has copies of word sort cards that she can print off, even though word sorts are not approved activities for her program--yet.
