Great for 1/4" seams
This is a 5mm wide foot I bought for my old machine and now use on a newer model. Yes, the newer Vikings have 7mm presser feet, but I snap this one on when I want to sew 1/4" hems because it's so easy to line things up with the outside of the presser foot.

great alternative to pins
Love these! They're so much quicker than pinning, and it's easier to fasten pieces together without shifting on the bottom layer(s), which is a real time-saver. I've only used the mini size, but they work even on a couple of layers of heavy denim.
