Disappointment with the G40

I recently purchased this computer to replace an ageing IBM Thinkpad X40 unit I've been using for quite some time. The G40 is a very nice computer, but a bit bulky for a laptop. Has all the features of most standard laptops; VGA port, PCMCIA slots, audio, parallel, 4 USB (2.0), TV out (super video port). They don't have the SD card slot the IR port or the option of a docking unit that my X40 has. These units have reasonably fast processors 2 - 3.6 Ghz and can only hold up to 1GB on RAM less then my X40 which can hold up to 1.5 GB. The 14" screen offers high resolutions and crisp bright colors. The built in WIFI - 802.11b is outdated and wasn't useable with my home wifi. It also is came with a small 20 gb hard drive which leaves limited space to install new programs. This unit came with the 2.0 ghz processor but is a lot slower then my old X40 unit with its 1.6 ghz processor, windows loads slower, programs load and run slower and overall speed is a lot slower then my old X40 unit. Overall I was very disappointed with the G40, its proformance, and its options.
