Good quality with flexibility and high output
I like the overall quality of construction. Even though it's made primarily of plastic, it feels solid and the locking components snap into place securely. I like the fact that it can accommodate a 2 AH battery all the way up through the large 20/60 Flexvolt batteries. The handle location is well balanced. My application is to be able to read the details on electrical control systems that are being renovated. Often the lighting in the space is marginal or even burned out. This unit has sufficient lumen output as well as height and flexibility so that the light head can be directed at the ceiling or reflected off the wall and provide relatively even, non shadowed illumination. In the event that the light is too bright, it has three adjustable lumen levels.

A mouse chewed off the thumb button-
on my original unit. Garmin no longer sells parts or repairs for the Garmin Edge 705. This replacement part provided me with the exact item that I needed, despite the fact that Garmin told me that there were no user serviceable parts inside. With this part installed it's now in like new condition again and I'm a happy camper.

Beautiful, but not very functional

I ordered this watch as an amateur astronomer and hoped that it might actually be functional as a planisphere. Unfortunately, there are two problems that make it less than useful. The detail is so small that it is simply unreadable. However, a 2 inch magnifying glass is included that might have solved that problem; but, a 15 degree polar grid obscures the constellations making them impossible to identify behind the grid.
It's too bad, because the one valuable watch complication is that the background planisphere dial rotates during the day keeping the sky in proper alignment. This would have made the planisphere truly useful had it been readable.
I'm impressed that even with the large face, it still looks perfectly reasonable in size. The celestial dial is subtle and does not call undue attention. Reading it will take a little practice. To keep them from interrupting the image of the planisphere, the hands are so thin that it's necessary to angle the face to get a glint off some reflected light in order to read the regular time. Once adjusted to my small wrist, it is very comfortable to wear.
I will keep the watch as it is a nice novelty and will make an attractive dress watch. it would not be much good for reading the time in a dark theater, let alone a star party.
It also comes with a beautiful wooden presentation box that includes an integral space for the magnifier.
