Gitzo GT2542T Series 2 Traveler 6x Carbon Fiber 4-Section Tripod

Fantastic tripod.

I highly recommend it (worth it if you can find a deal). It's light as a feather and ridiculously strong. I don't love the Gitzo kit tripod head that came with it - it's clumsy to use, hard to adjust, (gets stuck) and the lack of friction on the top of the quick release plate means heavier objects can slip around even when tightened fully.
