Night Time Reassurance

I bought this product for my mum who is in her nineties and needs to get up in the night to visit the bathroom. It remains plugged in and comes on and off automatically with low daylight. The light given out is particularly clear like a full moonlit night so not too bright to disturb sleep or give glare but perfect to give reassurance and guide clearly where you are walking and where furniture obstacles might be. It means Mum doesn’t need to carry a torch so her hands are free and she doesn’t have to remember or stoop to switch it on and off each day.She loves it.

Great little cake book

After staying at a B and B where the landlady served us a particularly scrumptious carrot cake she lent me her copy of this book. I was so intrigued to see many recipes used fresh fruit that I eventually purchased my own copy. I have since had so many compliments on cakes from this book. I got this copy for my mum who still loves to bake at 90! She liked the full colour illustrations of each cake and the easy melt butter with sugar on the stove method of some of the cakes. This method was a revelation to her and a great help for arthritic hands. There is a great selection of different types of cake from large to muffins , tray bakes and tea loaves and also some biscuits. Perfect for inspiration for those special visitors and also for fundraising. It is a very small book so easy to fit on the work surface or stow in a bag. Highly recommend.
