Code Reader for VW, but not EVERY code...

I bought this Vag code reader to read the code that was causing my son's 2006 VW Jetta to have its Check Engine light to come on. The reader was purchased new, appears to work correctly, and even comes with a manual that lists all of the codes. It is a very basic device. Having only 2 buttons. Should be easy, right? I plugged in the cord, then started the car, searching each section (Engine, Transmission, etc...) for recorded codes, but despite having that obnoxious yellow engine glowing on the instrument panel, the code reader repeatedly showed No Codes. I get that this model is the cheapest one the brand offers, but why manufacture a product that doesn't adequately do the job for which it's intended? Save your money, spend more, and buy a better code reader.

Great jack, except...

The jack is just what I expected, a good quality part that would be perfect if it would've come with the 3 mounting screws as it had in the photo. Not worth asking the seller to send, so I made a trip to the store for the correct size. Mistakes happen. No worries!
