ELM327 USB Interface OBDII OBD2 Diagnostic Auto Car Scanner Bluetooth WIFI Wired

Usb software wrong, Chip is a clone of 2008 version.

Hard to get it to work. Had to search all over to get correct drivers. Unit has old drivers for USB ergo would not work, Software provided has to be purchased or cracked. $169.00 to purchase OR use their crack program that is removed by windows defender, MUST turn off defender to get this to work. The new ELM 327 was changed so you get error code 10. install old driver pl2303 64 bit driver from, (They would not let me post the link so go to totalcardiagnostics ) get drivers and read all info and it will connect. Program requires a lot of work to set it up. So it works. This item is not plug and play.

If you buy one DO NOT SET the auto recording feature, it locks you out of menu and mode.

I bought the hi def one from the dealer of these units. When Got it it went into menu and mode with no problem, but I set the unit to do auto recording and it locked me out of menue and mode until the card filled. It took me hours to get back to menue to stop auto recording. Once I did this the unit would allow the mode and menue button to work as shown in the manual and their web site. It was VERY frustrating to get this to work as when I wrote in to get help I got none. I did not call them just used their email support. I am going to put this to work and will add more to this if their is more trouble.

Old Software.

Perhaps some of you will get some use of the software here. Non of it would work Loaded them all and poor experience with them. It may be a bad ELM 327 but I have read they were changed in 08 to mess up the clones. Would not work in my 2001 Jeep.
