Great Balance of Weight and Size
I bought this knife to fill a specific role. It had to have a 4” blade, less than 4 oz, high quality steel, and a solid lock. I had also hoped to get something other than a satin blade. It is hard to find to find something that fits those specs, but the Benchmade 417 delivers.

Bright, Light, and Durable
Surefire makes top quality lights, and this is almost perfect. Even though Surefire says this light is only 300 lumens, it is as bright as cheap lights that claim 500+ lumens. My only complaint is that it does not default to the brightest setting, and changing output is too complicated.

Top Qualith and Fit
These are the best gloves that I have ever used. They fit perfectly which allows fine motor movement. They are definitely warm, and come with a wax that can be applied to further waterproof the leather. I was initially concerned with the price, but they are a good value considering that they will outlast several pairs of gloves.
