Forgotten Gem
Pieces is a jigsaw puzzle solving video game for the SNES. That might not sound like much, but I figure most people haven't played it. Single player is what it is: Race the computer in increasing levels of difficulty to finish a puzzle. Multiplayer, on the other hand, is awesome. Play with two to five players (with multitap). Two players can each individually make the same series of puzzles against each other while gaining power ups that either help themselves or wreck the other players chances. Up to five players can work on the same puzzle, gaining points for placing the pieces correctly. For my friends, this is now THEE party game. Shoving, swearing, and general ruckus follow in the wake of Pieces. If you like games like Mario Party, Wario Ware, or Fusion Frenzy but love the crappy graphics and oh-so-hip appeal of SNES games, get Pieces.
