Intermatic EH40 Cons
This timer replaced an older First Alert water heater timer that stopped working. The instructions for the wiring connections diagram isn't correct. You need to install jumpers from terminal 1 to terminal 3 and another one from terminal 2 to terminal 5. The jumpers that are included in the package are not long enough to connect terminal 2 to terminal 5. You will need to make a longer jumper for this connection.
The jumpers should have been installed on this timer before it left the factory.
The LCD display is tiny compared to the LCD display on the First Alert. Also the battery replacement cover is difficult to remove and replace.
