I love it!!
I was pretty bored with the gum paste that had taken over cake decorating. No one wanted to eat it, and mostly scraped it off of their cake. These Russian tips bring a new concept to cake decorating: Doing a flower all at once. No more doing it one petal at the time. This set makes rather small flowers, perfect for a cupcake. I am using buttercream again!

I LOVE IT!!
This tablecloth is beautiful. It is a little different than others, because the design is almost exclusively on the side. It is a showstopper!

Another Dorie hit!
This is a wonderful book, up to Dorie Greenspan's expected standards. The title is somewhat misleading, in that not all recipes involve baking. Most do, however. And there are no savory recipes. She really should have called this a dessert book, not a baking book.
But, now on to content: This book contains dessert recipes that are relatively simple. No '3 days to make a cake' business here. Her premise is to provide dessert recipes that can be made in the home, but with a French touch. Some recipes are from French chefs, some she received from friends over there, some she devised herself, but all are wonderful. Her notes at the top of the recipes are invaluable. She provides some 'mother' recipes, and builds on them. This is a good book for a beginning cook who wants a French touch to dessert, and for the diehard Dorie fans like me.
