Finger drill/pin vise

Pin vise is a replacement for a damaged one I owned for finger drilling. It arrived in a plastic bag without an instruction sheet. Upon disassembly, I learned the second chuck was stored in the back of item. The drill clamping force of the pin vice could be improved & tends to slip under force. I use it for hobby drilling of soft metal & plastic. Inexpensive, better than expected but not as good as my broken pin vise.

NOS 345-65

There is a difference between the Original Part and the NOS Part? I have used both parts. I prefer to use the original part as it works better. When the NOS part is used some modification is required to make it work like the original part. The major change is the knurled stud holding the two plastic haves together adds weight to the NOS part. The culvert unloader counter weight requires additional weight to offset this stud weight. The second change is where the string cord passes through the part. If the string passes by the stud knurl, it will damage the nylon string in time. NOS part works best to separate the two halves and use the molded boss at the top as the string pulley and leave the halves separated slightly. The third change is the magnet used is too strong and requires cloth tape or layers of paper masking tape to separate the culvert from the magnet for the mechanism to release a culvert properly. With the changes mentioned above, the NOS part works the same as the Original Part.

2321-50 Repro battery bracket

This is a reproduction assembly 2321-50 for Lionel FM or EP5 with a battery, relay, horn. Fit and functional is similar to Lionel part. Hard to find original parts because of battery damage. Repro parts have little demand for the part because of cost. Original part was plain steel bracket with battery spring and contact. Reproduction is similar but with flash chrome finish to the steel bracket.
