Excellent value.

The pair I bought were indeed new and unused according to SMART data. Excellent value considering these are 1 DWPD drives. Putting one of these in the confines of a laptop and thrashing it might be unwise as these run custom Toshiba silicon, running at 4 Watts over a small mass of aluminium enclosure.

STAX SR-007A Electrostatic Earspeakers

Only electrostatic headphones are worth the time. These are a great example.

These are very nice. However, Stax Lambdas sound just as good for a much lower price. If you don't care about the price and want luxury, then go ahead. I would not expect anything from other brands to sound as good as these Stax headphones.
