A real alternative solution.
The only wiring “unit” from BMW is the entire harness for $1500. With a used one, I could tease out just the 6 wires I needed (Throttle) and could practice de-pinning/re-pinning the connector. Plus Mototech as usual has great descriptions, excellent shipping.

This helmet is so light you’re going to wonder what evil magic is at work. It snaps shut like something NASA uses. The Transitions lens (with pinlock) is an all-in-one solution. It’s a great helmet. Fits rounder heads, something between truly round and the long oval that I have.

It also has limited breadth of function and doesn’t do all commands for all models. It’s the only option when Sena and the helmet MFR decide to put the controls INSIDE the face shield.
