Fuji Finepix S2000hd

The Image stabilisation, 15x zoom, HD picture and video with the ability to use the zoom while in video mode ticked all the boxes. With similar cameras selling for a lot more and having owned and liked previous Fuji cameras it was the obvious choice. My first impressions on opening the box were, compact, solid and ergonimically easy to use. the various settings and buttons were mastered within 30 minutes. first results look promising. A sturdy case is a must. I will update the review when I have used the camera in anger.

I cannot import contacts from Outlook or my phone as I could in Co-Pilot.
Setting up was easy but if you want to get the best out of it you need to set up an account with ViaMichelin and import/export information/routes/journeys using the internet. Once familiar with this it is quite easy, using postcode find on the unit is also very easy but you need the details of the address to hand so journey planning beforhand is important. The interface is easy to use once familiar, directions are clear and quick. The traffic function, via FM radio is a real surprise and on a recent journey round the M25 very accurately informed me of accidents, congestion and road works. The safety camera feature worked very well also. I have yet to utilise the Bluetooth hands free function for my phone as I have an in car system but having set this up and tested it, it worked very well. This will be a great help when hiring vehicles.
Overall, very pleased although it would be better if it could read outlook address's.
