Identical to original backplate...
If you have this doorbell you know how fragile the little tabs are along both long edges of the backplate. Since you don't often need to replace the batteries, you forget how to remove and reinstall the main component onto the backplate, so in the process you may break off one or more of the little tabs. If you break off two or more of the four tabs, the backplate is worthless because you can't lock the main component onto the backplate.
This backplate is identical to the original and may in fact be OEM. There are only two screws involved in securing the backplate to the doorframe, so install of the backplate is simple. Mounting the main component is a little tricky, so watch a YT video and you'll have everything attached and ready to go.
