BBK H-pipe w/cats fits poorly.
1 von 2 finden das hilfreich I'm very dissatisfied with this h-pipe. I have purchased several other BBK products for my 1993 Mustang GT and been very satisfied. Firstly, the approximate install time in the install sheet claims 45 minutes. And that's on jack stands in your drive way. I knew that was a joke. I used a hoist and spent about 4 hours trying to get this thing to line up to the point where I could put my car back together. And I'm a journeyman mechanic of 10+ yrs. it comes in pieces, as opposed to the one piece off-road version. I was hoping to weld it together and do away with the clamps that come with it to avoid leaks. The pipes are not marked to make it easy to weld together and then install. So I planned on mocking it up, marking it, then removing it to properly weld it together. There is NO WAY I would ever get that thing lined up closely enough to actually be able to mark and weld it. I had to use the clamps. And I had to bully it into fitting. Afterward, my transmission would not even sit down on the mount properly, I had to suck it down with a bolt. This is because the RH side has about 4" clearance of the trans. Crossmember and the LH side is touching the crossmember!! This is no good. Also, I'm pretty sure I have a leak at one of the clamps. As there was about a 1/2" gap between the pipes where they clamp together on the RH side. When I have more time, I will take it out and see what I can do to make it fit better. Definitely not a nice easy bolt on. Very unhappy about the fitment. On the bright side, with my BBK ceramic coated shorties and Magnaflow cat back, my car sounds great now. I only opted for the version with cat converters to avoid the stinky exhaust smell of unburned hydrocarbons. If this is not an issue for you, I definitely recommend going with the off-road version. As I assume being one piece, it would fit much better.

This pedal, played through my blackfaced '74 Twin Reverb, has given me the sound I have been looking for since I started playing guitar 15 years ago. Very versatile and ample tone control. I love it.
