Money well spent.
I have a 2019 Chevy Bolt, and although I did indeed have to buy longer mounting bolts (make sure to buy Class 10.9 strength bolts--I had to go online as there were no locally sourced bolts in my area), I did not have to drill new holes in the bar for it to mount correctly. Mounting was a piece of cake as the two threaded pieces fit easily through the coils of the suspension and drop into place. I used a lock washer between the head of the bolt and the washer that is included with the bar.
Initially I thought I sensed a bit of "heaviness" as the car went over bumps (this does add a bit of unsprung weight to the rear suspension), but I'm getting use to that and don't notice it any more. When only one side of the car goes over pot holes or bumps, I do not notice anything objectionable. One of two reasons for buying a rear sway bar is to reduce body roll of course, and this bar does that very well. Also, initial turn-in is noticeably improved and the car tracks around corners more easily. I haven't pushed it to the extreme yet to see if there is any oversteer, but I do notice that the amount of understeer is reduced. Straight-line stability seems to be as solid as it was before I installed the bar.

Volt rear sway bar - worth it!!
Best mod for Gen 1 Chevy Volt! Simple bolt on, took 30 minutes. Makes the car more stable on highway bends and entrance and exit ramps. Doesn’t turn the car into a Porsche, but it definitely should have come from the factory this way!Vollständige Rezension lesen...

Changes the handling aspect of your vehicle. Well worth the money. Just need a spacer. 14 mm bolt nut washers.
