The Standard Model of particle physics describes the fundamental particles and their interactions in a reasonable way, but it is not considered to be a complete theory. Possible interesting extensions are Left-Right Symmetric Models, which introduce additional particles. The Tevatron proton-antiproton collider at Fermilab (near Chicago/USA) is perfectly suited to search for the production and decay of this kind of new particles.
