Robin Hugh Gibb, Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE) was a British singer and songwriter. He was best known as a member of the Bee Gees - a famous pop and rock music group co-founded with his twin brother Maurice and elder brother Barry. Robin Gibb had another younger brother, Andy Gibb, who was also a very popular solo singer. He was born on the 22nd of December 1949 the Isle of Man to English parents - Barbara and Hugh Gibb. The family later moved to Manchester before settling in Brisbane, Australia. Gibb started his musical career as part of the family trio and when the group gained their first success they returned to the United Kingdom where they achieved worldwide fame.
