- Kurzbeschreibung<p>In this work, low-frequency simulations with the Computer Simulation Technology (CST) software have been investigated. After verifying simple models with analytical solutions, a model of a drummed power cable was simulated. As in recent measurements of cable manufacturers, it was shown that a drumming of a power cable with a solid aluminum screen leads to effects, which increase the AC resistance of the inner conductor. Additionally, measurements, simulations and analytical considerations concerning tubular conductors were performed. A formula for a tubular conductor close to its return conductor was developed. Furthermore simulations were able to replicate measured changes in the R_AC/R_DC-ratio at higher frequencies with solid conductors, which were previously falsely attributed to Milliken conductors.</p>
