- Kurzbeschreibung<p>The study on negative externalities of the coastal ecosystem with categories of serious affected , medium affected and low affected fishermen and also positive externalities of coastal tourism was taken up in the cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu. The gross and net income was coincided with the pollution intensity and also the fish catch was varied with pollution intensity. The resource use efficiency of total production and Sardinella longiceps and Rastrelliger kanagurta species revealed the differential influence of fuel cost, numbers of fishermen and maintenance cost and depreciation cost of boat. Technical efficiency of affected fishermen was revealed that mean technical efficiency and scale efficiency of the three categories was similar and was around 99 per cent even though the individual species analyses showed lesser technical efficiency. Hedonic model revealed that the house value was positively influenced by the household income, water quality, distance from sea and amenities. WTP was increased with pollution intensity.
