Almost perfect replacement for your VB eye shade
I got a VB that needed an eye shade and eye shade holster so I took a chance with this. I worried about it not being made by Nintendo. Let’s talk about the eye shade itself: amazing quality! Really shocked. It feels and looks virtually identical to the original Nintendo one. Blown away. Doesn’t have the smell :( but that’s not a deal breaker. Haha. Just love the smell of the original. The only thing that some may not like is the eye shade was made just about an inch too long so parts of it are touching your nose. With the original, there’s no supposed to be any part of the eye shade touching your nose. I don’t mind this because all it does is block out more light. But this may irritate some because it tickles a little and feels a little like something is touching you that shouldn’t be. The holster is somewhat cheaper plastic than the original, as is to be expected. But it looks very nice, and clips in PERFECTLY to the unit. I might actually say it clips in even better than the original! Slightly more snugly. Very nice! Overall, I gotta say this looks and feels really nice and I can’t speak for everyone out there but I’m impressed. This brought the good look of a new virtual boy back to my unit, and it gets the job done.

Works both ways
I was a little worried when I read a review that said this replacement stand only works with the Virtual Boy mounted backward. That is incorrect. The stand works both ways, though it does require more force to mount it the correct way, the original stand from Nintendo was the same way. At first attempt it might seem like it won't attach correctly, but you really have to press the VB into the clamp before rotating it down and clasping the hinge. This stand looks like the original from afar, it's only missing the Nintendo logo. The Eyeshade is great, it actually is slightly longer than the original, and that is a good thing - it blocks out light around the nose. The Eyeshade Holder is great, but requires a little more force to insert than the original part. All in all, a great package to give "feet" to all of those lonely VB headsets!
