Film of substance
Very nice film. No unnecessary gimmicks of today that push the film on you - just a good piece of filmmaking. Even though I like this newer version a lot - the original 1939 version, colorized, is # 1. For that period , everything is superb ! The cast, the acting, the storyline, snappy dialog with wit, satire, humor and romance - A True Masterpiece ! Great old classic
June Allyson and David Niven are great in the lead rolls and the supporting cast keeps you smiling as well. Funny, engaging and entertaining - what else could you want? glossy remake of screwball comedy
