Excellent furnace transformer replacement
Good 1. Easy saddle mount . Holes for #8 screws. 2. Wires pre-stripped and tinned. 3. Better for the higher current Taco Zone Valves. 1.6A instead of the common 1.2A transformers. [1.6A = 40VA ; while 1.25A = 30VA] 4. Class 2 for constant duty. 5. Additional wires for optional 208Vac primary input. [If used with the 120Vac input, output is 15Vac. 15Vac still operates the zone valves, but slower although the valves would last a very long time]. Bad 1. Only 8" wires. Others are 10". 2. No mounting hardware. 3. No internal thermal fuse. 4. Larger than the original. The combo of both high current demand Taco zone valves being on and furnace heat during a cold winter night, damaged the original transformer. This higher current output transformer although a little larger, is a better replacement.

Exact replacement.
This transformer is an exact replacement and was ordered as a spare part. The transformer installed presently is the same identical part and has been performing flawlessly. Hopefully I will never need this one for the heat pump and can use it in some other project.

It came in the mail
The transformer came in a box,,wires were coming out of a shiny metal device with feet ,the unit is heavy. I suppose it works ,I'll know in about one year.
