Regan's world begins to close in around him when internal investigations looks into his work after a gold bar goes missing from evidence and a fellow officer begins to suspect that Regan might be sleeping with his wife. Despite this, Regan must attempt to foil a bank robbery he has been tipped off about, even if it is againt the orders of his boss.

There are some cracking action set pieces, too, like a shootout that sweeps through Trafalgar Square, a tense cat-and-mouse in an underground car park and a caravan-wrecking finale that will have Jeremy Clarkson salivating.
