Direct tv remote
I was skeptical on buying this item. But i needed a new remote ASAP!! This item was a great buy!! I'm so happy! Very well made. It's brand new very easy set up came with battery's and shipping was speedy! I would defiantly recommend this item to anyone who has Direct TV! They cost 15.00 from direct tv:/ I bought this brand new one for like $6.50!! Very happy:)

Great Bargain!
You might be considering buying these and saying to yourself, like I did, this can't be legit can it? How can they sell them for this price? Well it is and they do. AND it came a couple of days earlier than they said they would. And the communication was A+ every step of the way. And they work great. I had received the exact model from DirectTV for free 6 months ago and I loved it. My family all used the old clunky ones. We have 4, one for each of us. Well when I got them over the next week they all agreed that they wished they had them a long time ago. They were easy to program. I have a receiver I use with surround sound too so I had to program a TV, the directv box which was automatic once I put the batteries in and the receiver. You need to reprogram the TV to use the receiver for volume each time you program a new remote so don't forget to do that every time. I love getting a great deal and this was the definition of a great deal.

A perfect replacement!
This remote control works perfectly! It replaces a Directv RC72 that was working, but sluggishly! The R73 is brand new, repaces the RC72 and works like a charm. The instructions were easy to follow and only took a couple of minutes to set it up! This was an excellent decision on my part and the dealer is as good as it gets. A reasonable price and very quick shipping.

Hard to program.
This thing is a mess of guess work to program. Because there is no function switch to choose what piece of equipment is being programmed it fails in the middle. Non of the directions on screen or on DTV website match the monogramming of this remote. I had to go on youtube to firgure it out. I got this because of the RF feature but my newest up to date box does not have rf built into it. Si i cant even rate the RF feature, I was only able to get one remote to program to both the box and tv. Still trying to get a second to work. My main TV surround sound and box in the living room wont program because the tv is too old for the remote.

DirecTV Remotes RC73
I recently switched from cable to DirecTV and my system was designed with multiple TVs being fed from one receiver box. In order to switch channels at each location, I needed additional remotes besides the one that came from DirecTV. These remotes are RF and IR. They talk to the DirecTV receiver in RF so it can be located anywhere, and you can program them to control your TV using IR. The best of all worlds, except that you have to watch the same channel on all the TVs that are connected together, but that was the original idea.

Perfect replacement universal remote for DirecTV Genie.
My remote was getting worn out, so I ordered this refurb model. It was easier than I expected to set up and program, and it works fine. Handy remote guide was precise, clear and it's up and running. Great product.

Excellent remote for Direct TV. No more remote-wars between my wife and I. :)
I recently changed my Direct TV receiver which uses a new RC73 remote controller. I decided to end the remote controller war between my wife and I. since I hate listening to the loud commercials on TV between the shows, and she has the super-power of ignoring them entirely. Well, for almost $5 each, I picked up two of these remotes and no longer I have to keep asking for the remote to mute it during the commercial. BTW: This remote works great with our Vizio TV set that is about 10+ years old (when the Vizio was newly introduced into US market). The setup was very quick and automated through Direct TV, so it only took 30 seconds to set it up. All was needed to direct it to the TV set and Direct TV recognized it as a new remote and changed the screen to new remote programing instructions and within less that 30 seconds, the remote recognized the Vizio TV and configured it accordingly. Note: This remote is only useful to control the Vizio TV volume (which is enough for me), but most other Vizio specific buttons are missing from this remote, which is expected, since there is no way one can design any practical size remote with all audio/video specific buttons in the world. Perhaps the remote will be larger than a dining room table. If I have designed this remote, I would have placed a row of audio/video equipment selection buttons at the bottom/top row, so one can select the TV, amplifier or DVD, VCR, etc. and the remote would managed to map some of their functions over the existing buttons, like most advance remote controllers allow you to do so. Well, can't expect a $5 remote to have a $100 remote controller capabilities, either.

2 Direct tv remote control units that are easy to operate..We had 2 for about 8 yrs and they finally gave up the ghost..
fits your hand nicely, light enough to move around, Just use the easy programme setup and away you go, Good fair price on the 2 units, Hopefully they will continue to serve us well for our TVs, Many thanks

It was ready to go when I received it great product :)
When I received the remote it change the channels just out of the box. It was exactly what I wanted. The same as the one I lost. I would really recommend it great price and excellent product.
