A small size was a consideration as I only had 6' height to fit an AVR into. However, I was willing to buy a new cabinet if need be because I wanted a good fit for my speakers. The mains are Definitive Technology Mythos ST and the center is a Def Tech CLR 2300. All have powered subwoofers/woofers, so the 50 watts per channel was way more than enough to drive the mids and tweeters in a very large room (~8,000 cubic feet). Def Tech BP6B surrounds(non-powered)are on the way, so the verdict is still out on them, but as they are surrounds, I should be fine. When the founder of Definitive Technology, Sandy Gross, demoed the ST's he did so with a 38 watts tube amp, so I figured I would be OK. I am quite happy with the purchase. BTW, Marantz does not inflate it's wattage numbers like all of the other mainstream companies. I hope this helps, and good luck with whatever you decide upon.Vollständige Rezension lesen
So far I like nearly everything about it. The HDMI switching capability, the sound, the menus are clear, and the auto-setup of the sound levels for all channels was very easy using the included mike. Much better than my older Denon AVR1800 and seems to drive the speakers better even though it's rated lower.
Product is compatible with most current system, would be nice if the original remote came with it

This is my third set up of Klipsch with a Marantz receiver in my house. It never gets tiring of listening to them together. No fatigue, just pure elation.
