GTA 4 - some new, some old
Very well written campaign/story. The graphics continue to improve in the series, and this is by far the most realistic looking and "feeling" virtual city to date. Lots of small details like the fishtailing physics while driving cars or pedestrian reactions make this a very enjoyable game. Most gamers expect some degree of multiplayer content in games now, and GTA decided to accommodate. There are several different types of game modes besides the classic "deathmatch" and "team deathmatch" types, such as Mafia or Grand Theft mode where teams compete to complete objectives faster than the other team, or Race mode which allows for up to 16 players to vie for 1st place in a variety of circuits throughout the map. Gameplay is solid, yet there are still a few issues that make the new auto-aim mode hinder as much as it helps -- you can sometimes get stuck on walls, and even turn the wrong direction when trying to avoid incoming fire. The Rockstar servers seem to handle game traffic well as I only rarely get dropped from games. The biggest disappointment is the game lobby, or the lack of one. The party leader is chosen at random, usually leading to a lot of arguments and players leaving the game prematurely because the game options aren't what they wanted. This can be frustrating when you have to search for yet another game, which can take a fair amount of time to start. Overall, GTA is a worthwhile purchase. The story mode is fun enough to make you want to play it through more than once, and the new online multiplayer is decent enough to enjoy.
if you followed the saga you stop playing and if not juegenlo will regret.
for: a saga that I am from vice city, from the years they were enlarging and changing the main character Niko is an immigrant here in search of a prosperous life, but as is the finish of this game estelilo killing people is very dynamic has to eat salis mini games with your friends / partners you can have bride and San Andreas, the graphics are very good, how diaspora from cars / Lasch / motorcycles is much better and the good thing is that it puts in a position to guard against walls or anything else. Cons: The game made me very short story mode missions are few missions after you got out of history as you could say, how to make it very easy target.
It's no San Andreas
I love the GTA series. Having the freedom to do whatever you want whenever you want in a living environment has endless fun potential. It was Vice City that reeled me in to the GTA scene and I have enjoyed every game after. San Andreas took the series to new heights with its expanded map and character customizations. Unfortunately, after playing GTA 4, I realized many of the things that made San Andreas the pinnacle of GTA games were sadly omitted in this latest installment. The biggest omission was the toned down customization. You can still buy different outfits for your character, but it is nothing like San Andreas. Also gone is the car customization. Sure, it really didn't do anything to enhance the cars performance, but I enjoyed making my cars unique and I hoped with the new technology the designers would of added new depths, but they instead took it out completely. Some people might of found the attribute building in San Andreas a pain, but I enjoyed the RPG aspect. It gave me more of a sense of accomplishment knowing my character was weak in the beginning, but much more powerful in the end. The cars drive much more differently than in past GTA titles. You are more likely to skid and spinout than pulling off a cool 180. It took me awhile to get the hang of the new car physics and it isn't much of a bother now, but some might consider this a large demerit for GTA 4. The radio stations are always a big draw since you do spend most of your time driving around and they add to the atmosphere of being in a city. The Vice City GTAs and San Andreas had the best soundtracks and funniest commercials and radio shows. For some reason, the GTA games based in Liberty City have a strange sound track and the radio shows don't seem as funny. Though a lot of what I enjoyed in past games was either removed or altered, there are a some things that GTA 4 added that I did enjoy. I liked the cell phone feature, though having someone call you while you are doing something can be annoying. Using the internet is also another nice feature, but I wish it was more interactive. Bowling is a nice distraction along with playing pool(introduced in San Andreas). Gone are the taxi, vigilante, and fire missions as we know them. You can still sort of do taxi missions in the beginning, but if you enjoyed the Crazy Taxi variety, you are out of luck. The new vigilante missions are structured nicely since you now have to access a police computer and track down your targets. The fire missions are gone, but I really haven't missed them much. The combat is revamped. I didn't have much of an issue with the old way, but I do enjoy using the free aim for all weapons for added challenge. One last thing, going on one man killing sprees are a thing of the past or a least much more difficult. You take more damage and the cops will take you down much easier. Overall, GTA 4 is a great game. If San Andreas wasn't so good, GTA 4 wouldn't look like a small step backwards instead of a leap forward. I am hoping that future GTAs will build off GTA 4 and add more to it. Any fan of the series will be satisfied with GTA 4, but they might not be able to shake the feeling that something is missing.
Mixed Reactions for this game. Mostly Good
I beat this game now and I am ready to review it. I have mixed reactions for this game. Here's what I think of GTA 4; Pros - Outstanding graphics, looks very real, actual real life cars, can walk into stores such as restaurants and clothing stores, addicting game, real life motions, extras such as pool, bowling, etc. Cons - Too many missions(they appear almost right after another and it gets annoying), can't go in most buildings(police station, etc), somewhat easy, camera angle when driving isn't good, way too much swearing for a grand theft auto game(it gets annoying after a while because every sentence they swear), the 2nd and 3rd island is really boring, you can't fly airplanes) Graphics - 10/10 as real as it gets Sound - 6/10, radio stations are sometimes funny(talk shows are super funny) too much swearing by people Gameplay - 10/10 replay value - 6/10, once you beat the game it's kind of boring but some missions alter the storyline so it's fun. Overall rating - 8/10
Good game, Great Multiplayer
Just like in every other release of GTA the jump in graphics and game play between each game is just as big as ever. GTA on either PS3 and 360 turns the regular repetitive mission style into a game with a bit more person interaction. The fact that they added a cell phone for extended communication of the contacts you meet in the game. That's just the single player. Once you get to Xbox live the experience of game completely flips. With modes and styles very close to SA multiplayer plus the incredible game engine the 16 player battles throughout the city can get pretty intense. Overall off line playability is probably around a 4 (Coming from a GTA fan) but once you throw in online play I would have to say this game is close to a 4.9.
